About Our Client

Based in the Midlands our client is a recognised provider of engineering services and process technologies to the water and wastewater utility sector. The business has a successful track record of managing turnkey projects through their full life cycle, from initial feasibility studies through to the supply and installation. The business is entering an exciting phase of development with a mandate for further investment and growth. As a result, there is a need to appoint a Business Development Manager.

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include: To generate sales leads and deliver increased volume and margin to the businessTo monitor and review market trends and develop and implement sales strategy that will meet client demands and increased market penetrationManaging all business development activity focussed on the identification of new clients in the water utility sector, nurturing existing clients and overseeing all tender/bid activityBuilding and developing significant relationships with key stakeholders in the water utility organisations to ensure the business is recognised as a partner of choiceWork very closely with the technical team to develop solutions to meet the client requirements

The Successful Applicant

Prospective candidates will ideally have an engineering degree with a proven track record of sales in the Utility Water and Waste Treatment market coupled with a strong understanding of its products and services. Of equal importance is a strong commercial awareness coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills. This is an outstanding opportunity to operate in a high growth business.
