Senior role with strategic commercial responsibilities
About Our Client
Our client is a growing start-up that was established over 5 years ago and has now become a rapidly growing and successful FinTech provider in the field of derivatives in China. Their core team members all come from the R&D, Technical and Trading departments of top international investment banks like Wells Fargo, and Morgan Stanley, as well as well-known domestic financial and IT institutions. Having rich experience in pricing, trading and technology development in overseas markets, our client is combining it with solid understanding of localised services in China. The strong focus on the research and development of financial derivatives technology infrastructure allows the company to empower domestic derivatives institutions and accelerate the development of China's financial markets. Their client portfolio now includes over 100 large financial institution, regulators, exchanges, banks etc. with the names like China Merchant's bank, Guotai Junan Securities, Yongan Features, Changjiang Securities, Bank of China, Zheshang Features and others.
Sales VP would play a key strategic role in our client's business as it would be responsible for delivering profitable growth and exceeding commercial targets, while expanding and managing a team based across China.
This person would be responsible for mapping out the strategic accounts in order to drive substantial revenue streams. As the senior member of commercial team, the Sales VP would report to the CEO of the business and will provide leadership input and help to shift team's mindset from transnational to more consultative sales and transform the business by driving insight and proven methodology across the organisation.
The Successful Applicant
This person will have substantial experience in selling financial software or FinTech solutions, ideally for derivatives sector in China. Additionally, this person would have leadership experience, being able to coach and motivate people to deliver their work. The successful applicant will have strong client engagement and commercial skills, will demonstrate relevant leadership experience and ability to marshal a team to deliver high quality service and customer experience.
They will also be self-motivated, with a positive, entrepreneurial mindset that would fit the start-up environment.
