Job Description
- Provide leadership and oversight for all the Advanced Manufacturing, Technology and Digital Transformation activities, including creating a vision, multi-year strategies and operating model for a globally aligned Smart Manufacturing for Implant Network
- Oversee, inspire and develop SMEs, and retain a technical talent to ensure Engineering knowledge continuity and knowledge transfer capabilities from Singapore site to the global Implant Network
- Manage resource planning, project planning, budgeting, expense priorities, performance management, and working through team managers to achieve results
- Coordinate and supports commercialization strategies for new (advanced) processes and digital platforms
- Support the Implant network in the selection of cost effective, flexible, and reliable manufacturing technologies to meet assembly, testing and inspection needs
- Coordinate Process Development Programs in "Design for Manufacturability and Assembly" (DFMA) feasibility reviews with R&D and Product Engineering (NPI), and any other key stakeholders
- Work with valve design functions to promote Design for Automation concepts to facilitate improve process design and optimizations
- Drive continuous improvement based on Lean and Six Sigma principles and the EW Business System (EBS) and particularly the EW Production System (EPS)
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required
- Relevant experience in Engineering required and skill levels exceeding the requirements of that of a Senior Manager required
- At least 10 years experience in technical, engineering, quality and/or manufacturing leadership roles.
- Provide leadership and direction to large cross-functional teams to successfully implement global enterprise systems and related solutions
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgement in decision making
- Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Expert understanding of advanced engineering systems and procedures while looking beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems
- Financial acumen as it relates to the business as well as engineering (strategic budgeting)
- Collaboration with the Headquarter, Strategy & Project Meetings, Vendor Visits, Singapore Government, Universities, etc.
