Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Economic Regulation Manager with an aviation business. You will provide:

  • Strategic support: successfully deliver advice internally with correct mix of challenge and collaboration externally to support delivery of company-wide strategic priorities, including:
    • Future regulatory model: looking beyond and learning from the current price control review, lead work to develop coherent proposals for the evolution of NERL's regulatory model so it remains attuned to the requirements of NERL and its customers
  • Regulatory compliance:
    • Lead regulatory engagement with CAA on strategic projects relating to the Licence, e.g., investigations and ad hoc reviews
  • Value-add:
    • Identify opportunities where value can be added through extra benefits delivered through economic regulatory framework and/or risk avoided
  • Promotion of excellence in economic and regulatory analysis: champion new methodologies and approaches by:
    • Providing input to other teams work at a strategic level
    • Obtain consultancy advice at appropriate times in cost-effective manner

The Successful Applicant

You will a have:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. economics, business studies and/or accountancy)
  • Subject matter expert in economics, regulation and public policy
  • Ability to work on complex and not fully defined problems and to deliver robust and credible recommendations and outputs
  • Ability to combine economic and regulatory analysis with inputs from other disciplines to generate solutions which work for the business as a whole
  • Self confident and professional expert able to articulate arguments and challenge constructively
  • Effective written and oral communications up to and including Executive level and with external parties at all levels

What's on Offer

£80,000 - £90,000 PA DOE plus excellent benefits and pension
