About Our Client
Our client is a well-known company in special glass industry whose business covering Mining, glass R&D and manufacturing, as well as downstream packaging industry. They are operating globally and have more than 20 manufacturing sites worldwide.
Job Description
1. Take responsibility of R&D management, develop short, medium and long-term R&D strategies according to the company's development needs. Build a R&D team and develop product development process.
2. Be responsible for the development of new product formula and process according to the product development requirements, and communicate and improve the original product formula and process to improve the product quality.
3. According to the new product development plan, carry out the research work of the new product, evaluate the efficacy of the new product, and conduct the product formula stability, and conducting relevant test to meet international industry standard.
4. Be responsible for the preparation and revision management of technical documents such as product development process. Assist the quality team to collect the information of industry specifications and ensure that the current standards are all the updated versions.
5. Organise the trial production of new products, formulate relevant standard operation specifications, and transfer them to the product production department and the quality assurance department.
6. Manage the R&D and technology department, recruiting and developing researchers.
The Successful Applicant
1. Master's degree or above, doctor's degree is preferred. Speciality in fine chemical engineering, applied chemistry, chemical analysis etc.
2. More than 10 years of experience in research and development, understanding the development trend of the glass industry, mastering the special glass formula, process technology and various test technologies, being able to conduct the formula test of raw materials and semi-finished products, independently develop products, determine the production process and product formula, and well control the formula cost.
3. Good team cooperation and communication skills, good professional ethics, optimistic and enterprising spirit, sensitive sense and grasp the pulse of the industry's development frontier.
4. Have the confidence to establish R&D from 0 to 1 and the ideal to develop products for the global market, and are willing to make efforts to overcome difficulties for the goal.
