Job Description



Commercial Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the hotel's brand positioning, ownership objectives, and market dynamics.
  • Act as a key member of the Executive Committee, contributing to overall business strategy and long‑term planning.
  • Provide strong leadership across all commercial functions, fostering collaboration and accountability.



Revenue & Distribution

  • Oversee Revenue Management strategy across rooms, F&B, spa, events, and ancillary revenues.
  • Ensure effective pricing, forecasting, and inventory management aligned with market demand.
  • Optimize distribution channels (direct, OTAs, luxury consortia, wholesale, corporate) while controlling acquisition costs.
  • Monitor KPIs including ADR, RevPAR, GOP, market share, and channel mix.



Sales (Leisure, Corporate & Groups)

  • LeadtheSalesstrategyacross:
    • High‑end leisure (FIT, luxury travel advisors, consortia)
    • Corporate accounts and negotiated business
    • Groups, MICE, and social events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, agencies, DMCs, and partners locally and internationally.
  • Represent the hotel at international trade shows, roadshows, and industry events.



Marketing & Brand Positioning

  • Ensure strong alignment with the hotel's luxury brand standards and storytelling.
  • Oversee Marketing, PR, Communications, Social Media, and Brand Partnerships.
  • Drive visibility and desirability of the hotel in priority source markets.
  • Work closely with brand / corporate teams where applicable, while maintaining local relevance.



Market Intelligence & Performance Analysis

  • Continuously analyze market trends, competitive set performance, and demand drivers in Barcelona.
  • Anticipate risks and opportunities related to seasonality, citywide events, and macroeconomic factors.
  • Translate insights into actionable commercial decisions.

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing commercial team.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Ensure talent development and succession planning within the department.

The Successful Applicant

Professional Background

  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in senior commercial roles within luxury or upper‑luxury hotels.
  • Proven track record in international, high‑demand destinations.
  • Strong expertise across Revenue, Sales, and Marketing, with a holistic commercial mindset.



Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong financial acumen.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially creative, yet disciplined in execution.
  • Highly articulate with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable operating in both brand‑led and owner‑driven environments.

  • English: Fluent (mandatory)
  • Spanish: Fluent (mandatory)
