Our Clients is one of the most reputable and leading Companies of its sector for which we are looking for a Supply Chain Director.

Job Description

  • The Director will lead all aspects of the supply chain management: Production Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, Logistics, Inventory, Warehouse and Storage.
  • He/she needs to demonstrate an ability to make the complex simple by standardizing and utilizing technology where appropriate.
  • Ability to learn and share quickly is essential, due to the explosive growth nature of the business.
  • The candidate must be able to rapidly establish new supply chains for new products as well as optimize supply chains for existing products.
  • It is imperative that the implemented systems be flexible and not create bureaucracy, while at the same time provide a framework for governance working with the commercial, manufacturing, and finance functions.
  • Manage partnerships with the company's contract manufacturers, monitor, and control production plans, communicate any risks, and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Manage inventory across the company's network to ensure inventory availability and accuracy; undertake capacity planning initiatives and work with warehousing partners to improve inventory visibility and space availability; help develop processes and systems to support the company's growth.
  • Identify, develop and manage key strategic supplier relationships
  • Procure for inventory and non-inventory purposes all essential materials, parts and services, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and cost-effective pricing to meet development and production time lines
  • Work closely with engineering and production to support strategic sourcing activities
  • Manage comprehensive long-term supplier agreements and purchase order management
  • Assess and monitor supplier quality and key performance indicators
  • Is directly responsible for the on-site assessment of supplier capabilities and relevant rate readiness assurance
  • Orchestrate the supplier performance evaluation process, determining and taking corrective action, as results require
  • Own and manage the process used in supply chain management to respond in a timely fashion to requests for quotes and proposals; recommend and implement process improvements as necessary
  • Develop short term and long term budgets and work closely with finance to report on and evaluate KPIs and evaluate variances to budgets

The Successful Applicant

  • BA degree from a relevant field.
  • 15+ years of experience is needed
  • Proven experience in planning, financial and contract management
  • Solid experience of manufacturing, transportation and warehousing
  • Creative problem solving skills is needed.
  • Candidates should be process improvement expert
  • Advanced understanding of business operations and process optimization
  • Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong change management skills
  • Ability to lead beyond boundaries
  • Fluent English
  • No travel restrictions
