Job Description

Reporting to the MD, the main responsibilities are:

  • Drive the environmental policies' strategy, identifying -together with the operational leadership- production processes improvement to reduce CO2 emissions;
  • Ideate and lead the group sustainability strategy across different brands and business units and propose,
  • Implement, and lead the sustainability initiatives for global supply chain;
  • Monitor industry and supply chain trend and best practices to develop supply chain sustainability strategy across all regions and supply chain activities;
  • Oversee the delivery of the sustainability targets related to climate resilience, greenhouse gas emissions, water, waste, responsible sourcing, packaging circular economy, etc. leveraging direct reports and broader supply chain organization;
  • Program and implement environmental policies to minimize the impact on the planet also through new business models based on reuse, sharing, repair and recycling;
  • Stay informed of current industry-wide regulatory requirements and emerging trends and ensure that company's suppliers are compliant to these requirements; monitor gap closure plans to mitigate shortfalls if needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in Engineering, management or similar title. Environmental, sustainability or ESG studies are a plus;
  • At least five years of experience in Sustainability or ESG roles;
  • Experience in leading, developing and implementing sustainability strategy, ideally within a supply chain context;
  • Ability to track and extract insight from complex data sets and experience in GHG emissions, responsible sourcing, circular economy and life cycle analysis;
  • Project Management orientation, CSR measurements experience, ISO requirements compliance management experience;
  • Experience with sustainability practices, tools, standards, frameworks, certificates, reports;
  • Strategic vision of sustainable development at business level, but also at financial, social and globalization\inclusion level;
  • Overall vision: inclination to read the bigger picture and moreover detailed aspects.
