About Our Client

We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President for our Automotive Industry division in Southeast Asia, with a specific focus on Thailand. The ideal candidate should be whom is fluent in English, possessing extensive knowledge and expertise in the automotive sector. This role will involve strategic initiatives, driving business growth, and overseeing operations to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge in the region.

Job Description

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies aligned with the company's vision and goals for the automotive industry in Southeast Asia.
    • Lead the division to achieve targeted sales, market share, and profitability growth.
    • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and government agencies.
  2. Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and timely delivery of automotive products.
    • Manage and optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve responsiveness.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to anticipate changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
  3. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to team members.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  4. Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and market expansion.
    • Negotiate and close strategic deals with potential partners and customers.
    • Develop and execute marketing and branding strategies to enhance the company's presence in the region.
  5. Cultural and Language Proficiency:
    • As a person who can be fluent in English, act as a bridge between headquarters and the Southeast market.
    • Utilize language skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
    • Promote cultural understanding and sensitivity within the team and across the organization.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years in the automotive industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position. Experience in Southeast Asia is essential.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in both English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Leadership Qualities: Proven ability to lead large teams, drive change, and achieve business objectives.
  • Cultural Adaptability: Ability to adapt to and thrive in diverse cultural environments.
