They specialize in building materials selling branded products as well as manufacturing private label products for other well-known brands. The Vice President of Finance/CFO will report to the CEO and be responsible for all accounting and finance for the organization leading a small dynamic team. The VP of Finance must have strong interpersonal skills and able to connect with the organization and employees of this small close knit manufacturer. The VP of Finance will be highly interactive with the Board Members, and Private Equity firm working closely with the Operating Partner.Job DescriptionProvide executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives and offers recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunitiesResponsible for timely, accurate, and consistent reporting of financial information, including full monthly, quarterly and annual closingReport to executive management, CEO, and Private Equity firm customer profitability and analysis of performance of results and variance vs budgetActively participate in Executive Management Team meetings; provide updates relating to Financials and other areas of responsibility.Review business performance and results vs variances to budget, reforecasting and previous performanceReview operations and SG&A costsEstablish and report against KPIsMaximize working capital, monitor and maintain cash flow, and ensuring funding for expansion and growthEnsure the company is financial stable and healthy, while also preparing for the next stage of growthResponsible for preparing the annual 3-year and 5-year business planStrategic business planning looking at financial strategies for the organization's goalsOversees the organization's risk management including establishing and improving internal controls and proceduresResponsible for the company's Information Technology function including the company's ERP system and the IT technology used for enabling business efficiencyPersonnel evaluation and/or development of a strong accounting and finance team driving performance while developing and growing team's skilletsWork on strategic projects including M&A (mergers and acquisitions), IT projects, and other various projects as neededEnsure the company is prepared for significant financial transactions M&A and/or exitsThe Successful ApplicantBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or similar requiredMBA and/or CPA/CMA highly preferred10 years in progressive financial leadership roles in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience working with a Private Equity portfolio companyAbility and proven track record working with various departments - sales, finance, accounting, HR, engineering, manufacturing, etc.Prior experience with M&A and Sell Side transactionsStrong working knowledge of GAAPProficient with all Microsoft Office applications and products, business intelligence systemsExtensive knowledge and experience working with ERP systemsHighly level of honesty, integrity and standing by ethical principlesBusiness minded and strong team player mentalityStrong communication skills written and verbalStrong work ethic and high attention to detail with a passion to win and positively influence a company cultureWhat's on OfferCompetitive base salary $200,000 - $250,000 depending on experience, bonus, equity, full benefits, 401K, vacation, holidays.
