Job Description

Group Capital Allocation

Lead the design, implementation and ongoing refinement of a comprehensive capital allocation strategy

Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance and capital efficiency, and make portfolio recommendations to maximize long-term value.Group Capital Structure

Optimize capital structure, recommending the right mix of debt, equity, and cash.

Lead the group's long-term capital planning and funding strategy.

Set group leverage targets (Net Debt/EBITDA, Net Debt/Equity).

Develop return of capital strategies through the creation of policies for dividends, buybacks, and the reinvestment of retained earnings.Governance & Management Investment Committee

Lead the development of a robust Investment Policy

Manage and coordinate the Management Investment Committee process, including the preparation of high-level analysis and recommendations for proposed capital projects, M&A opportunities, and other strategic initiatives.

Ensure that governance standards and decision-making protocols are rigorously followed for all investment-related activities.Financial Modeling & Valuation

Oversee the development and review of financial models to support investment decisions and group-level long-term financial planning.

Own group valuation models used for strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and internal investment committee reviews.Business Unit Support & Coordination

Act as financial advisor to BUs on strategic finance matters, including the development of investment cases and ensuring post-investment reviews are conducted.

Support large-scale BU transactions (e.g., IPO readiness, divestments) with financial structuring and advisory.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP Corporate Finance & M&A should have:

  • A strong background in corporate finance ideally in energy or real estate sectors
  • Proven expertise in mergers and acquisitions across the whole value chain
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills.
  • A track record of successfully managing financial projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
