The VP of Blueberry Farm is tasked with driving the establishment and operation of blueberry farms in key targeted countries. They will be responsible for all aspects of the farms' development, from initial setup to long - term strategic management, while ensuring alignment with the company's overall business goals. This role reports directly to the regional chief and collaborates closely with cross - functional teams across the company.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the farm
that aligns with its business objectives and mission.
2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the farm, including crop
production, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
3. Manage the farm's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and
cash flow management.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and
other stakeholders to ensure a smooth supply chain and maximize
revenue opportunities.
5. Manage the human resources function, including recruiting, hiring,
training, and developing a high-performing team.6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry
standards related to farming operations and food safety.
7. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement continuous
improvement plans to enhance farm efficiency and productivity.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new farming techniques, and
technologies to improve farm performance and sustainability.
9. Develop and maintain a strong corporate culture that values
teamwork, innovation, and customer service.
10. Represent the farm at industry conferences, trade shows, and other
events to promote its brand and reputation.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field. Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in agricultural project management, preferably with experience in setting up and operating farms. Experience in international agriculture, specifically Asia, is highly desirable.
  2. Industry Expertise: In - depth knowledge of blueberry farming techniques, post - harvest handling, and market trends. Familiarity with local agricultural practices and market dynamics is a plus.
  3. Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams across multiple countries. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in English and local languages. Ability to effectively communicate with local stakeholders, international partners, and cross - functional teams.
  4. Strategic and Operational Skills: Proven ability to develop and implement market - specific strategic plans. Skilled in project management, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a complex and dynamic environment.
  5. Financial Acumen: Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, with an understanding of international financial regulations and currency exchange implications.
  6. Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with agricultural regulations, food safety standards, and environmental laws. Ability to ensure farms operate in full compliance.
  7. Cultural Adaptability and frequent travel: High level of cultural adaptability to work effectively in different cultures. Ability to respect and integrate local customs and business practices into farm operations. Can travel frequently to SEA.
  8. Problem - Solving and Resilience: Strong problem - solving skills to address challenges in farm establishment and operation. Ability to work under high pressure, adapt to rapidly changing environments, and maintain a positive attitude in the face of difficulties.
