About Our Client

My client is a leading Hong Kong listed company with decades of successful track record and growth. Currently, they're looking to strengthen their business partnership team in seeking for a commercial and strategic finance business partner.

Job Description

  • Lead the annual Group business planning process, which includes monitoring and review budget submission from BU and Group functions to ensure it aligns with group strategy and give strategic commentary to senior management
  • Take the initiative and drive the process of challenging the BU and Group function regarding budgetary assumptions that are used to formulate guidelines and policy
  • Undertake full accountability in evaluation of key assumptions, analytical review, and development of consolidated budget
  • Lead the Group management reporting process, which includes key commercial, operational and financial data
  • Ensure the reporting process and information submitted are meaningful and meet senior management's requirements
  • Lead the team to support formulation of Group strategic planning and take accountability to ensure an effective system management is in place and up to standard from an controls perspective



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent
  • Candidates with a Master's Degree or MBA is a plus
  • At least 18-20 years of successful track record of relevant accounting and finance experience from large organisations
  • Must be able to demonstrate well rounded skills, in particularly financial and business planning, budgeting, forecast, analysis, investment, system re-engineering, process improvement etc
  • Clear and concise communication and stakeholder management skills in working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Have a strong commercial sense to act as a trusted business partner across all levels (including C-suite and BoD)
  • Language capability in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (those with experience working in China previously will be a plus)
