About Our Client

Ukio's mission is to empower individuals to live where they want, when they want.

They do this by disrupting the traditional residential real estate market, providing fully furnished and artfully designed apartments for stays starting at one month. They remove all the hassle around finding a rental with no long-term contracts, moving/buying furniture, security deposits, broker fees, etc. giving choice and flexibility to allow people to live where and when they want.

They are a Barcelona based startup with offices in Madrid, Lisbon, Berlin and Paris! and soon they will conquer some more cities across Europe. Backed by Europe's best Venture Capital firms, the next year will be a critical phase in their growth as they look to further build out their team and expand into multiple new markets.

They have successfully raised a Series A investment round that will help propel their growth throughout Western Europe.

Job Description

Reporting directly to Founders and working closely with our leadership team, you will play a key role in building, leading and driving the best sales strategies and overseeing our sales and revenue teams.

This role will have an outsized impact on our company's growth and profitability.

  • Define our global sales strategy and drive execution.
  • Lead the best combination of web, inside sales, direct sales, and successful B2B partnerships to drive our company goals.
  • Oversee and develop the sales team roadmap and predictable sales model that enables accurate forecasting.
  • Lead sales forecasting, OKR setting and tracking and cross-functional strategic initiatives to ensure revenue targets are reached.
  • Manage and develop our Sales team, engaging our team members, raising performance, and retaining our best talent.
  • Design and build the right sales team structure in a scalable model that enables high growth in European markets.
  • Create effective market penetration strategies when entering new markets.
  • Influence the definition and implementation of tech internal tools and customer facing applications to meet our sales goals.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of relevant experience of which 3+ years should be in a VP or Director of Sales role managing sales teams of at least 7 people across sales and revenue functions.
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership experience leading international teams in inbound and outbound sales.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales leadership and building impactful inbound and outbound sales growth - particularly in the B2C and B2B2C space.
  • Experience overseeing sales and defining go-to-market strategies across international markets.
  • Proven experience building sales department's structure & processes, OKRs, tools introduction and automation.
  • Successful track record of achieving major sales and revenue growth.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills.
  • Familiar and comfortable with a hyper growth and / or fast-paced company, ideally a start - up.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders - able to influence at different levels.
  • Flexible, resilient and content with ambiguity and changes.
