John O’Connor has had a big impact on the Page Executive team since he re-joined the group as a Partner in October 2022. With a deep knowledge of the UK finance market and a network of executive profiles, he has always aspired to be a ‘go-to’ recruiter in his field. 

In recruitment since 2002, John has built up an impressive portfolio of top-level financial placements and sees each of his diverse assignments as a chance to adapt and nurture his skill set. Although he loves shaping his work with the vast experience and best practices he’s picked up throughout his career, John also values the team support at Page Executive. He’s never shy to offer guidance and expertise, and has developed his own executive search technique by working with, and learning from, a wide range of talented and vastly experienced recruiters over the years. 

John’s thirst to learn comes across when working hand-in-hand with his clients. Equally adept with vast enterprises and burgeoning startups, he views every assignment as a relationship rather than a transaction and always has an eye on the long term. This translates into a meticulous, dedicated drive to connect the dots, but also an honest, results-driven approach to deliver a successful outcome for clients and candidates.

Like in his career, John is never afraid to test his limits in his personal life, having run all kinds of long-distance races including the New York Marathon. He’s also never lost touch with his roots and loves to get back to the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales and the Atlantic coast of Ireland to enjoy the immaculate natural surroundings.
