Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with experience in workplace relations, employment law, government policy or advocacy who wants to contribute to nationally significant policy reform and represent Australian business in discussions that shape the future of work. As an Associate Director of Workplace Relations, you will:

  • Analyse workplace relations legislation and policy developments
  • Contribute to advocacy strategies and policy submissions
  • Engage with government agencies, regulators, industry groups and ACCI members
  • Support representation in key workplace relations forums and committees
  • Coordinate and deliver strategic grant-funded projects
  • Research emerging workplace issues and develop policy recommendations
  • Help shape ACCI's position on workplace relations reform and employment policy matters.

The Successful Applicant

Experienced in:

  • Workplace relations or employment policy
  • Government policy and regulatory affairs
  • Employment or industrial relations law
  • An industry association or member-based organisation



You bring:

  • Experience in policy development, workplace relations, employment law or advocacy
  • Excellent research, analysis and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capability
  • Sound understanding of Australian workplace relations frameworks
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
