Job Description

  • Advise clients on intellectual property aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements within the life sciences sector.
  • Draft and negotiate complex IP-related contracts, including collaboration and development agreements.
  • Provide strategic counsel on IP portfolio management and protection strategies.
  • Conduct due diligence on intellectual property assets in transactional contexts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address IP issues in broader business transactions.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and regulations in intellectual property law affecting the life sciences industry.
  • Assist in resolving disputes related to intellectual property rights and agreements.
  • Support clients in navigating regulatory and compliance matters tied to intellectual property in the life sciences field.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • Strong experience with intellectual property law, particularly in the life sciences sector.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex IP-related agreements.
  • Deep understanding of transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and licensing.
  • Ability to conduct thorough due diligence on IP assets and portfolios.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills to address regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
