Job Description



General Management & Operations

  • Lead the overall day-to-day management of the company
  • Ensure financial health, including cash flow monitoring and budget oversight
  • Supervise project delivery, ensuring cost control, quality, and timelines
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across technical, operational, administrative, and commercial teams
  • Manage and develop a growing team



Strategy & Business Development

  • Define and execute the company's global business development strategy
  • Drive commercial activities from opportunity identification through contract execution
  • Structure and manage an international sales pipeline
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, donors, and public stakeholders
  • Identify new markets, applications, and revenue streams
  • Implement performance tracking tools and reporting mechanisms



Growth & Scaling

  • Lead the company's international expansion strategy
  • Structure strategic partnerships across industrial, commercial, and financial domains
  • Identify long-term growth drivers and prioritise key initiatives
  • Build scalable processes and organizational frameworks to support growth



Performance Management

  • Drive revenue growth and profitability
  • Monitor key financial, operational, and commercial KPIs
  • Implement efficient processes while preserving agility
  • Ensure successful execution of projects at scale



Leadership & Governance

  • Inspire and align teams around a clear strategic vision
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and operational excellence
  • Support talent development and organizational growth
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and shareholders
  • Provide regular reporting on performance, risks, and strategic outlook

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in general management, business unit leadership, or strategic roles
  • Experience in Business Development in Africa is a must
  • Proven track record in international business development and scaling operations
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing growth and profitability
  • Experience in complex commercial negotiations and partnership development
  • Demonstrated experience in emerging markets is essential
  • Exposure to public tenders and institutional environments is highly desirable
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with both strategic vision and execution capability
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to operate in multicultural environments
  • Fluency in English and French are mandatory
