Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsNew Assistant General Counsel role with leading real estate company.Midtown Manhattan, New York role working directly with the General Counsel.About Our ClientWorking directly with the business and General Counsel on-site in a highly successful, busy real estate management and investment company in their Midtown, Manhattan, NYC office.Job DescriptionAs Assistant General Counsel, varied responsibilities will include: Providing legal support to the multi-state residential management and brokerage real estate company on title transfers, property transactions, laws and regulations, privacy, IP, and other varied related matters.Manage and review brokerage activities, titles, and trust transfers for cooperative buildings to ensure accuracy and compliance.Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts.Advise on legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them.Ensure compliance with all applicable property laws and regulations.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on legal issues.Manage outside counsel, overseeing corporate and client litigation matters.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and legal trends.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Admitted in CT, NJ, and/or Florida bar highly beneficial.At least 2 years experience (private practice or in-house) in residential real estate, sales, brokerage or property management essential.
