Working closely with executive leadership, regulators, and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation maintains the highest standards of regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention, and corporate integrity.Job DescriptionAs European Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all compliance activities across the organisation's European operations, including the Luxembourg headquarters and its international branch network. Key responsibilities include:Defining and executing the European Compliance Programme to identify, assess, manage, and mitigate regulatory compliance risks.Developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.Providing strategic guidance to senior management and the Board on regulatory and compliance matters.Leading compliance monitoring and testing activities, including AML/CTF, conduct, MiFID, data protection, outsourcing, and other regulatory requirements.Managing and developing compliance teams in Luxembourg and supporting local Compliance Officers throughout the branch network.Maintaining strong relationships with regulators and coordinating regulatory inspections, reviews, and responses.Driving compliance-related projects, systems enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.Delivering compliance training and promoting a strong culture of compliance throughout the organisation.Partnering with Risk, Internal Audit, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance standards are embedded within the organisation's operations and strategic objectives.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will be an experienced compliance executive with a strong track record of operating within complex European banking environments.
