We are seeking a visionary, sophisticated, analytic and hands-on General Manager who sees this as a long-term life project. The GM will be responsible for leading all pre-opening activities, building the team, setting the culture, and ensuring the hotel opens successfully with strong brand positioning and commercial performance.

About Our Client

Leading hotel-focused investment company with a portfolio of high-quality assets across key destinations in Spain and Southern Europe. We are currently conducting the search for a General Manager for one of its new luxury hospitality projects in Southern Spain, developed in partnership with a renowned international hotel brand.

Job Description

  • Lead all pre-opening activities including recruitment, training, budgeting, and operational setup
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure a successful launch and long-term profitability
  • Build and inspire a high-performing team aligned with brand values and service excellence
  • Oversee all departments: Rooms, F&B, Spa, Sales & Marketing, Finance, HR, Engineering
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, local regulations, and sustainability goals
  • Establish strong relationships with ownership, brand representatives, and local stakeholders
  • Drive guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial results

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as General Manager in luxury and ultra luxury hospitality
  • Previous experience in hotel openings is highly preferred
  • Previous experience in international hotel chains
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commercially savvy with deep understanding of P&L and revenue management
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (additional languages a plus)
  • Culturally aware, elegant, and service-oriented
  • Strong relational skills
  • Able to handle the complexity of a large-scale resort (230+ rooms)
  • Collaborative and humble leadership style
  • Experience working with ownership structures
