Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a global supply chain strategy that ensures service excellence, operational efficiency, inventory optimisation and scalability across multiple regions and manufacturing sites. This executive will bring a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, covering procurement, planning, logistics and distribution.

Acting as a strategic business partner, the Global SC Director will work closely with Commercial, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance and Executive Leadership teams to align supply chain capabilities with growth objectives, customer expectations and profitability targets.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the person in the role will have the main following responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the global B2B supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives, growth plans and operational priorities.
  • Lead the Supply Chain agenda across a global manufacturing footprint of more than 15 production sites, acting as the functional reference point for local plant teams and ensuring consistency, operational excellence and alignment with global supply chain standards and business priorities.
  • Partner with Commercial and Business Leaders to anticipate market developments, customer needs and growth opportunities within the group.
  • Support the Chief Operations Officer on strategic projects, including production line transfers, plant relocations, industrial reorganisations and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, inventory management, procurement, production scheduling and distribution.
  • Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and optimise inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate supply to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish metrics to evaluate supply chain performance, identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience through customer service excellence and process improvements.
  • Optimise trade working capital through effective supply chain and inventory management practices.
  • Promote innovation and leverage technology solutions to enhance supply chain visibility, improve forecasting accuracy and streamline operations.
  • Monitor industry trends, market developments and regulatory changes that may impact the supply chain, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support new product launches, market expansions and other strategic business initiatives.



The Successful Applicant

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related discipline.

· Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management within complex international manufacturing environments; At least 5 years of experience in senior leadership positions.

· Proven track record leading global or multi-regional B2B supply chain organisations.

· Strong expertise across end-to-end supply chain disciplines, including:

  • S&OP
  • Demand Planning
  • Supply Planning
  • Inventory Management
  • Customer Service
  • Logistics & Distribution
  • Network Optimisation



· Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain dynamics within industrial, medical, automotive, pharmaceutical or related sectors.

· Excellent analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business decisions.

· Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.

· Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Executive Committees and Board-level stakeholders.

· Strong financial acumen, including business case development, cost optimisation and working capital management.

· Experience with ERP platforms, Advanced Planning Systems and supply chain analytics tools.

· Fluency in both English and Italian.

· Availability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
