Job Description

AI Infrastructure Strategy

  • Define the long-term technology roadmap for AI infrastructure.
  • Establish architecture and engineering standards.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to align technology investment with business priorities.



AI Platform Development

  • Build scalable environments for generative AI, machine learning and agent-based systems.
  • Create frameworks for model deployment, orchestration, monitoring and lifecycle management.
  • Develop reusable enterprise AI capabilities across multiple business domains.



Cloud Architecture & Distributed Computing

  • Design large-scale cloud-based environments.
  • Enhance platform reliability, security and scalability.
  • Improve infrastructure efficiency and resource utilisation.



Data & Platform Architecture

  • Create data platforms required for AI solutions.
  • Work closely with product, engineering and data teams to ensure smooth integration across systems.
  • Establish governance, observability and security practices.



Team Development

  • Build and grow a high-performing engineering organisation.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, knowledge and technical excellence.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship across engineering functions

The Successful Applicant

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, cloud architecture or related disciplines.
  • Previous team management experience managing engineering or infrastructure teams.
  • Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.



Technical ExpertiseStrong experience in several of the following areas:

  • AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Cloud infra architecture
  • Distributed systems
  • Data platforms and data engineering
  • MLOps and/or LLMOps
  • AI platform infrastructure
  • Model serving and inference optimisation
  • Enterprise security and compliance
