Our client is a market-leading organization in the Belgian mobility and transport sector.

Job Description

  • Lead and execute complex internal audit assignments across the organization and, from planning to reporting
  • Assess risks, evaluate internal controls, and challenge existing processes to drive continuous improvement
  • Deliver clear, structured, and action-oriented audit reports, with pragmatic and value-adding recommendations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define action plans and ensure proper follow-up on implementation
  • Contribute to the risk-based audit plan, continuously reassessed based on evolving priorities
  • Work on a wide range of audit topics, including operations, IT, HR, procurement, safety, and customer-facing activities
  • Coordinate with external audit partners for specific expertise (e.g., IT audits) while ensuring the quality of deliverables
  • Play a key role in the continuous improvement of audit methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Act as a coach and reference point for less experienced auditors, supporting their development and ensuring overall team quality

The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in internal audit (ideally within complex or large organizations)
  • Strong understanding of audit methodologies, and risk analysis
  • Experience in coaching or leading auditors and acting as a functional reference
  • Ability to navigate both operational environments and senior management interactions
  • Working proficiency in French and Dutch is mandatory
