Former entrepreneurial company founded in the 90's during the blooming of the Italian machinery Industry, recently acquired and integrated in a bigger network with an international flavour.
The new owners have invested in upgrading facilities, equipment and marketing tools focusing on expanding their footprint.

In this stage a true business leader is required to steer the company to the next chapter.

Job Description

The Managing Director, reporting directly to the BU Vice President will be responsible of the following tasks:

  • Together with the Executive board develops, reviews, updates and implements strategic business planning, including financial performance and product development;
  • Sets KPIs, leads and monitors the budgeting process to meet financial and business goals;
  • Deploys new efficiency and quality road-map to achieve the higher standards requested by international customers;
  • Will explore new business opportunities within complementary businesses;
  • Fosters the partnership with existing clients and represents the Company in front of potential new clients during key meetings;
  • Directs company operations to meet budget and other financial goals set by the CEO;
  • Plans and supervises production activities, defining with the production supervisors the right priorities;
  • Manages CAPEX and for maintenance and future investments;
  • Ensures operations are at all times compliant with Group policies and standards, in particular for HSE, ISO and UL certifications and policies;
  • Ensures the successful project management processes, aiming to meet client expectation from design until commissioning;
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills through empowering, collaborating, coaching and mentoring the human capital;
  • Leads the change management process (both cultural and organisational), ensuring an open and collaborative environment, at all levels.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidates has an Engineering Degree in Electronic, Electric or Industrial Automation, a proven experience in leading roles within the Machinery or Industrial Automation industry, either in Sales, Operations or After-sales roles.

A solid understanding of project management, from initial design to installation, combined with customer's orientation mindset is highly preferred. Genuine interest in personal relation towards internal and external stakeholders is a key requirement mixed with a performance driven mindset and strong analytical skills.

The new manager need to be capable to gain on the shop-floor trust from the blue collar community and deploy in an engaging manner the necessary turnaround process, empowering the existing hiding talents and attracting new ones.

Fluency in English and Italian is required, French is a plus.
