Job Description

The new Managing Director, will assume full responsibility for the leadership and management of the Italian business. The role encompasses strategic, commercial, and operational accountability, with the objective of delivering sustainable growth, profitability, and organizational development in line with Group expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining the local business strategy and ensuring the achievement of corporate objectives through effective budget management, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leading, developing, and supporting the local organization, ensuring an effective structure capable of achieving revenue and EBIT targets.
  • Managing and further developing the commercial organization, supporting talent development, recruitment activities, and key contractual negotiations.
  • Driving sales and marketing strategies to generate new business opportunities, expand the customer base, develop new markets, and implement pricing initiatives in alignment with Group guidelines.
  • Analyzing customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and business improvement initiatives.
  • Monitoring company performance and providing regular updates to international stakeholders on financial results, market developments, and organizational requirements.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers through a visible presence in the market.
  • Acting as the primary interface between the local business and Group management, contributing valuable market intelligence and strategic insights.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Managing Director should have:

  • Proven leadership experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector, with a strong background in machinery and service-related activities.
  • Strong knowledge of business strategy and financial management.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing teams and driving organisational performance.
  • Familiarity with market trends and industry practices.



Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

University degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications will be considered a plus.

Proven leadership experience with responsibility for managing teams and organizations.

Demonstrated success in managing a full P&L and delivering ambitious business objectives.

Strong commercial experience in capital equipment, industrial solutions, or similarly structured service-oriented environments.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Strong results orientation combined with strategic thinking and analytical skills.

Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives and the development of innovative business models.

Fluent English is required.

Availability for both domestic and international travel.
