Job Description

  • Develop and maintain knowledge management systems to support legal teams.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to identify and implement best practices for sharing legal knowledge.
  • Create and manage templates, precedents, and other legal resources.
  • Train legal teams on knowledge-sharing tools and systems.
  • Analyze and organize legal data to ensure accessibility and usability.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of knowledge management practices.
  • Provide guidance on the integration of technology to enhance knowledge-sharing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in knowledge management practices.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • J.D. degree and admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 10-15 years of relevant private funds or asset management experience.
  • Experience advising on sponsor-side fund formation and institutional investor matters.
  • Significant large law firm experience, with at least 5 years in a large law firm preferred.
  • Knowledge management experience, including working with forms, precedents, and legal resources.
  • Strong drafting and writing skills, particularly relating to partnership and fundraising agreements.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Proven project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to build credibility with lawyers and professional staff across multiple offices.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze competing approaches, build consensus, and drive implementation.
  • Experience using legal technology, intranet, and internet-based resources.
  • Data analysis and information management skills or willingness to develop them.
  • Strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset.
