Job Description

  • Develop and execute the organisation's global IT strategy, operating model, and multi-year technology roadmap.
  • Lead enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives focused on productivity improvements, process automation, cost optimisation, and business enablement.
  • Provide strategic oversight of global IT operations, infrastructure, service management, and technology governance.
  • Own the performance, availability, and resilience of enterprise technology services supporting global operations.
  • Oversee manufacturing IT and MES environments to ensure uninterrupted factory and shop-floor operations.
  • Lead the SAP ecosystem supporting finance, supply chain, manufacturing, planning, analytics, and enterprise reporting.
  • Drive digital transformation and major technology programmes through effective PMO leadership and governance.
  • Manage global infrastructure platforms, cloud environments, networks, collaboration tools, and workplace technologies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external technology partners.
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service provider governance to maximise business value and service performance.
  • Own the IT budget, forecasting process, cost optimisation initiatives, and technology investment decisions.
  • Ensure IT compliance with regulatory, quality, audit, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, divestments, Transition Services Agreements, and corporate transformation activities.
  • Build, lead, and develop a globally distributed IT organisation, creating a high-performance culture and strong succession pipeline.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Vice President, IT should have:

  • Proven experience leading a global or multi-site IT function within a manufacturing, industrial, electronics, semiconductor, or automotive environment.
  • Strong track record overseeing end-to-end IT, including infrastructure, cloud, networks, service delivery, enterprise applications, and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience managing SAP-centric environments supporting finance, supply chain, operations, and manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success leading digital transformation, AI, automation, and technology modernisation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage outsourced providers, strategic vendors, and large technology budgets.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and lead global teams.
  • Experience in IT governance, compliance, audit, and operational risk management.
  • Exposure to corporate transactions, carve-outs, integrations, or large-scale business transformation initiatives would be advantageous.
