Job Description

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and all accounting sub‑processes (AP, AR, fixed assets, treasury accounting, provisions, reconciliations).
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports, ensuring timeliness and high-quality standards.



Compliance, Controls & Audit

  • Ensure strong internal controls consistent with audit standards and banking regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, coordinating deliverables and implementing recommendations.
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of regulatory requirements affecting financial and accounting processes.



Systems Integration & Transformation Initiatives

  • Lead and contribute to system integration projects, including data migration, process harmonization, system upgrades, ERP implementations, and connections with core banking platforms.
  • Partner closely with IT and business teams to map accounting flows, validate data integrity, and ensure seamless interaction between financial systems.
  • Drive automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reporting quality.



Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Technology.
  • Support strategic decision-making by providing insights, analysis, and financial expertise.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7-10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong background in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in systems integration projects, including ERP implementation, data migration, process mapping, or financial system upgrades.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and banking-related accounting standards.
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar and core banking platforms.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Proactive leadership style, with a focus on transformation and continuous improvement.
