The firm is recognized for combining high-level legal expertise with an entrepreneurial, client-focused approach.Job DescriptionServe as the firm's senior marketing and business development leader, working directly with the Management Committee, practice leaders, and partners.Develop and execute firmwide and practice-specific business development plans aligned with growth objectives.Create and oversee high-quality pitches, proposals, RFP responses, capability statements, and other client-facing materials.Build sophisticated PowerPoint presentations and executive-level marketing collateral under tight deadlines.Establish and maintain consistent branding standards across all firm communications and marketing assets.Manage the firm's website, attorney bios, social media presence, and external marketing vendors.Prepare attorneys for client pitches and business development meetings through research, strategy, messaging, and follow-up planning.Drive cross-selling initiatives and help attorneys build disciplined, accountable business development habits.Oversee conferences, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and client events, including budgeting, logistics, and ROI measurement.Track pipeline activity, proposal results, CRM data, rankings submissions, and marketing performance metrics, providing actionable reporting to leadership.This role will be based in firm's New York office.The Successful ApplicantA successful Business Development Director should have:7+ years of marketing and business development experience, ideally within a law firm environmentExperience partnering directly with firm leadership, practice leaders, and other senior stakeholdersProven success developing pitches and proposals that have resulted in new business and client winsExpert-level PowerPoint and presentation design skills, with strong writing and visual communication capabilitiesExperience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and broader marketing technology toolsWorking knowledge of digital marketing, website management, email marketing, analytics, and business intelligence resourcesStrong executive presence, project management skills, and the ability to influence attorneys and drive initiatives without direct authorityWhat’s on OfferThe salary range for this role is $180,000 to $210,000 USD for New York.This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
