Job Description

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel on securitization transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
  • Advise on compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the financial services industry.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business, risk, and compliance teams, to align legal strategies with business objectives.
  • Oversee and manage external counsel to ensure timely and efficient legal support.
  • Support the structuring, execution, and closing of complex financial transactions.
  • Stay updated on changes in securitization laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to the organization.
  • Mitigate legal risks by providing proactive and practical legal solutions.
  • Ensure all legal documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with internal and external standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director, Senior Counsel - Securitizations should have:

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in the United States.
  • Strong expertise in securitizations, structured finance, and capital markets transactions.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial services industry regulations, including securities laws.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing legal risks.
