About Our Client

A leading interdisciplinary centre is recruiting for an Engineering Head to build and advance nuclear engineering capabilities.

Job Description

The Engineering Head will be building technical capabilities in fuel management, waste management, radiation protection, safety, and emergency preparedness.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists.
  • Build and strengthen technical competencies and organisational capability.
  • Provide expert engineering advice and technical oversight
  • Review, validate, and guide technical analyses, assessments, and documentation.
  • Ensure alignment with recognised safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to long-term capability development and engineering support strategies.
  • Collaborate with government, industry, academic, and international stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Significant engineering experience in nuclear fuel cycle, waste management (front end or back end) and radiation protection
  • Site operational experience is highly advantageous
  • Demonstrated track record of leading technical teams and delivering strategic projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
