Job Description

Provide full financial leadership across the UK business, partnering the UK MD and Senior Management Team. Oversee all core finance activities including:

  • Treasury and cash management
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Financial and statutory accounting
  • Accounts Payable / Receivable



  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and 5-year planning processes.
  • Deliver robust financial analysis for strategic initiatives and capital investments (including DCF modelling)
  • Partner with commercial and operational leaders to evaluate sales, pricing, and manufacturing strategies
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and statutory compliance across multiple UK entities.
  • Provide oversight of tax, VAT and regulatory compliance, including group reporting requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, and systems.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, building capability and succession.
  • Ensure maintenance and compliance with SOX controls and US GAAP reporting standards.
  • Support financial system development and transformation initiatives.
  • Deliver ad hoc financial insight to support executive decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

We are seeking a commercially minded, hands-on Finance Director with strong leadership capabilities and a track record in complex operating environments.

Candidate profile required;

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • 10+ years experience in senior finance / leadership roles
  • Significant Manufacturing, Engineering, or Industrial sector exposure preferred
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within a multi-entity / international structure
  • Strong financial control, FP&A and reporting capabilities
  • Experience with US GAAP and SOX compliance highly advantageous
  • Excellent understanding of UK tax and VAT regulations
  • Comfortable with financial systems, data, and reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and influence at Board level
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial insight into operational action
  • Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style suited to a mid-sized, multi-site organisation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High levels of organisation, analytical capability, and attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to lead and develop teams
