We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the Finance function of a fast-growing, Private Equity-backed industrial platform operating in the water treatment sector. The role will support the integration of acquired businesses while building the financial infrastructure required to sustain future growth.

Our client is a Private Equity-backed industrial platform operating in the industrial water treatment and reuse sector. The business is pursuing an ambitious buy-and-build strategy aimed at creating a leading player in the market through the integration of highly specialized companies with complementary capabilities.

Job Description

  • Lead the administrative, accounting and financial integration of the Group companies as part of the buy-and-build project.
  • Design and implement a unified Finance operating model, standardising processes, policies and tools across the businesses.
  • Select and coordinate the implementation of a new Group ERP system together with reporting and control tools.
  • Develop consolidated management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controlling processes to support management and investors.
  • Ensure effective financial management of the business, with particular focus on project profitability, working capital and cash generation.
  • Support the integration of future acquisitions, ensuring rapid alignment with Group standards and processes.
  • Lead and develop the Finance organisation, building a scalable structure capable of supporting future growth.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and investors, providing analysis and insights to support key decision-making.



The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record managing post-acquisition integration and organisational transformation projects in buy-and-build environments.
  • Experience within Private Equity-backed companies and familiarity with PE governance and reporting requirements.
  • Strong background in management control, reporting and financial planning, with the ability to build Finance processes and structures from scratch.
  • Experience within industrial businesses operating on a project-based model, with a focus on profitability, working capital and cash generation.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Strong leadership, change management and team coordination skills across multiple entities and locations.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Group locations in Northern Italy.
