The Head of Investor Relations - Family Offices is responsible for developing and managing relationships with family offices, UHNW investors, and private wealth channels to support capital raising, investor servicing, and long-term fundraising strategy for the firm's biotechnology and technology-focused private equity funds.

Job Description

1. Fundraising and Capital Raising

  • Lead fundraising efforts among single-family offices, multi-family offices, and UHNW investors.
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new investors for biotech and technology-focused funds.
  • Manage the fundraising pipeline from initial meetings through subscription.



2. Investor Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective investors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for family office clients.
  • Organize regular investor meetings, portfolio reviews, and strategic updates.



3. Investment Communication

  • Translate complex biotech and technology investment strategies into clear investment narratives.
  • Prepare investor presentations, quarterly reports, fund updates, and market commentary.
  • Communicate portfolio performance, exits, valuation developments, and pipeline opportunities.



4. Market Intelligence and Business Development

  • Monitor fundraising trends, family office allocation preferences, and competitor activities.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, family office forums, and investor events.
  • Build strategic partnerships with wealth advisors, private banks, and investment consultants.



5. Investor Reporting and Compliance

  • Coordinate capital call notices, distributions, fund reporting, and investor inquiries.
  • Ensure communications comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Work closely with finance, compliance, legal, and investment teams to maintain high-quality investor servicing.

The Successful Applicant

1. Strategic Coverage of Family Office Investors

  • Develop and execute a family office engagement strategy across Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
  • Maintain a targeted coverage list of key family office prospects.
  • Build trusted relationships with principals, CIOs, investment directors, and advisors.



2. Product Positioning and Fund Marketing

  • Position the firm's biotech and technology investment capabilities to prospective investors.
  • Articulate the investment thesis, competitive advantage, portfolio construction, and risk management framework.
  • Customize presentations according to investor objectives and investment mandates.



3. Fundraising Project Leadership

  • Lead due diligence processes, management presentations, and investor negotiations.
  • Coordinate responses to DDQs, RFPs, and investor information requests.
  • Track commitments and fundraising progress against target objectives.



4. Portfolio Communication and Investor Experience

  • Deliver regular updates on portfolio companies, exits, capital deployment, and market developments.
  • Organize investor days, annual meetings, webinars, and portfolio company showcases.
  • Ensure a best-in-class investor experience throughout the investment lifecycle.



5. Internal Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the bridge between investors and the investment team.
  • Collaborate closely with Managing Partners, Portfolio Managers, and Operating Partners.
  • Provide investor feedback to support product development and future fund launches.
