As a Interim Group Financial Controller (6months contract), you'll manage the financial operations and reporting to ensure everything runs smoothly. This role is reporting to the Group CFO, and is managing a large team through direct reports to ensure accounting processes and helping the business make informed financial decisions

Job Description

  • Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Oversee all accounting and finance operations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes to support business goals.
  • Supervise and develop a high-performing finance team (c50).
  • Implement and maintain strong financial controls and risk management processes.
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive financial strategy and decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial audits and statutory reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Group Financial Controller should have:

  • Strong experience in accounting and finance within a larger business, running a larger technical finance team.
  • UK based, Current UK accounting standards and IFRS essential.
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
