Job Description

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic growth opportunities through brand acquisition, franchising, licensing, distribution partnerships, and M&A activities.
  • Monitor global and local retail market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to identify emerging growth opportunities and high-potential brands.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective brands and business partners aligned with the organization's long-term strategic objectives.
  • Establish relationships with brand owners, principals, and strategic partners, leading commercial discussions and contract negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Develop financial models, business cases, and investment feasibility analyses to evaluate commercial opportunities and support investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including commercial, operations, finance, legal, and executive leadership, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare and present strategic recommendations, investment proposals, and project updates to senior management for approval.
  • Maintain comprehensive market intelligence and continuously evaluate new opportunities across existing and future target markets.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP Business Development should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline. An MBA is an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Business Development, Commercial Strategy, Brand Portfolio Management, Corporate Development, or a related function within retail, consumer goods, FMCG, or consumer-focused industries.
  • Proven track record in evaluating and executing strategic partnerships, franchise agreements, licensing, distribution, or M&A transactions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in financial modelling, feasibility studies, P&L management, contract negotiation, and investment evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and highly accountable, with excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Thai and English.
