The Client

Founded in January 2023, Dealinka is a French circular economy startup revolutionising the way companies handle unsold and dormant non-food inventory. Co-founded by long-time friends Alexis Raspilair and Ramil Alvarez, Dealinka operates as a  donation platform, redistributing excess stock to non-profits and reuse organisations. Their mission is to give these products a second life, cutting waste, reducing storage costs, and generating tax incentives for corporate donors.

Thus, they give access to multiple products to associations working with people in need.  

Dealinka is scaling rapidly and the next step is opening new countries in Europe. Their bold ambition is to become the leading force in sustainable redistribution, with Spain and the UK next on the expansion roadmap. 

The Brief

Initially approaching Page Executive for support with a single executive hire, it quickly became clear that Dealinka’s ambition went far beyond one role. The founders soon realised they were facing the challenge of building their first Executive Committee and were looking for strategic support to do so. Their priority was to bring in a team of experienced, value-aligned senior leaders who could stabilize internal operations and drive international growth, all while embedding the company’s purpose into its culture.

What they needed wasn’t just a recruitment provider, but a long-term partner; someone who could offer trusted advice on executive structure, role definition, and leadership alignment. They also required a highly agile, customized approach that could evolve alongside the business.

    An initial call evolved into a three-week advisory process, with Senior Partner Lorena Gutiérrez guiding Dealinka’s founders through defining their Executive Committee and shaping each phase of the hiring journey – from shaping role descriptions to onboarding strategy. 

    With competitors in play and no guarantee of mandate, to win the mandate we adapted to the client’s pace and vision, offering a compelling, tailor-made commercial proposition that aligned with Dealinka’s growth mindset. Our approach challenged the traditional recruitment model, with bespoke terms, no hidden surprises, and a partnership ethos from day one.

Lorena Gutiérrez and Research Associate Julie Pedron took a cross-border, cross-industry approach, targeting profiles with experience in large multinationals and lean, high-growth environments, with small perimeters.

    We assessed key leadership soft skills by placing candidates in real-life scenarios that required them to demonstrate strategic thinking, cultural alignment, and decision-making under pressure, while asking them to draw from prior experiences where they had successfully applied these capabilities in real-world situations.

    Since the client was building an executive team from scratch,  candidates needed to demonstrate their ability to shape and lead high-performing leadership teams, drawing from past experiences where they successfully built, aligned, and empowered senior talent around a shared vision. We also highlighted the importance of demonstrating the humility and emotional intelligence needed to report to high-potential individuals for who it was the first time managing other senior leaders and an executive committee.

    Each finalist was presented with a full analysis of leadership style, motivation, and strategic fit, ensuring alignment with Dealinka’s mission, values, and growth pace. Page Executive also advised on onboarding and integration to support the new Executive Committee and proposed scalable assessment centres to evaluate senior talent for future growth.

  • Page Executive's Solution

    Page Executive successfully recruited five C-level leaders: Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer, and Chief Information Officer. The process was phased across various functional areas, including Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Technology, and Commercial – each addressed at different moments to support both structural stability and business growth. Each hire brings both strategic vision and operational agility, matching the fast-paced, mission-driven culture.  

    The founders were so impressed with the value delivered that they extended trust to Michael Page for mid-level hiring, marking the start of a broader collaboration between Dealinka and PageGroup.

    Closing Comments

    From the outset, this was a deeply collaborative mission. Lorena Gutiérrez, with the support of her research partner Julie Pedron, worked together with the founders, identifying leaders who could not only ensure business growth but embody its values.
