The employer is an international retail brand, recognised for its expansive market presence, innovation and highly creative products in the market. The company is looking for a strong technical finance professional who has a strong regional background.

Job Description

  • Report to the Regional CFO and lead a small team
  • Managing all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and receivables
  • Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Overseeing compliance with local regulations and accounting standards
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning
  • Collaborating with internal teams to optimize financial performance and cost control
  • Providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Developing and mentoring the accounting team to enhance their capabilities
  • Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls and financial processes

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • A professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, CPAA or ACCA
  • At least 20 years of relevant experience with at least 8 years in the retail sector
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting and compliance within the retail industry
  • Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software
  • A proven track record of leadership and team management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders
  • Strong command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin
