Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsExciting opportunity to join a growing legal teamFocus on real estate funds, upper tier financingAbout Our ClientSyndicator.Job DescriptionLead and support the legal aspects of real estate investment fund formation, fundraising, and closing activities.Draft, review, and negotiate fund governing documents, subscription materials, investor side letters, and related transaction documentation.Coordinate fund closings with internal stakeholders and external advisors.Manage outside counsel and oversee the preparation and execution of closing deliverables.Support fund-level financing transactions, including bridge facilities, warehouse financing arrangements, and related due diligence.Review and negotiate investor transfer documentation and advise internal teams on transfer-related matters.Partner with business stakeholders on new investment products, fund structures, and strategic initiatives.Provide legal support to investment, asset management, and investor relations teams regarding fund governance, investor rights, consent requirements, and other ongoing matters.Oversee KYC and investor onboarding requirements and support related compliance initiatives.Manage regulatory filings and reporting obligations associated with fund operations and ownership structures.Develop and enhance legal processes, procedures, and documentation to support a growing platform.Assist with securities law compliance and other legal and regulatory matters impacting the business.The Successful ApplicantJ.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.Approximately 7-10 years of legal experience gained within a leading law firm, investment manager, private equity firm, real estate investment platform, or corporate legal department.Significant experience with investment funds, fund formation, securities law, partnership and limited liability company structures, and related transactional matters.Familiarity with fund financings, investor negotiations, and complex fund governance issues.Experience advising internal business teams and translating legal considerations into practical business solutions.Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and legal research skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with senior stakeholders across the organization.Commercial real estate investment, development, financing, or private funds experience is highly desirable.Experience supporting tax-advantaged investment structures, affordable housing investments, or government-sponsored development programs is a plus.Self-directed, collaborative, and comfortable operating within a sophisticated, fast-paced investment environment.What’s on OfferCompetitive base salaryBonusBenefitsGreat working environmentContactJennifer PettigrewQuote job refJN-072026-7064403Job summaryFunctionLegalSubsectorLegal SubsectorIndustryFinancial ServicesLocationChicagoContract typePermanentConsultant nameJennifer PettigrewJob referenceJN-072026-7064403Job NatureHome Office
