Job Description

Data Product Director will work closely with colleagues across the Data Office, IT, and business functions ensuring consistency of delivery and governance, coordinating oversight, controls, and reporting

  • Lead the design and implementation of data products that align with organisational objectives.
  • Lead the delivery and governance of data products across the organisation
  • Maintain the data product roadmap and prioritisation process
  • Collaborate to align Data Products delivery with the global strategy
  • Ensure data products are delivered in line with agreed scope, timelines, and standards
  • Establish and embed governance controls including ownership, stewardship, lineage, metadata, and data quality requirements
  • Coordinate approvals and reporting through relevant data governance and delivery forums
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders across business, data, and technology teams
  • Track risks, issues, dependencies, and remediation actions across data products
  • Ensure data products are documented, controlled, and operationally sustainable
  • Monitor adoption, quality, and business value realisation for delivered data products
  • Drive continuous improvement in data product delivery and governance processes

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Product Director should have:

  • Proven experience in leading data product development within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of data management, analytics, and governance principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technology and business teams.
  • Experience in defining and executing product roadmaps.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.
  • Experience in data delivery / programme delivery
  • Understanding of data product operating models
  • Good knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage, and control frameworks
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed organisations
