Job Description

  • Define and execute the franchise strategy in alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Prioritise investments and initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and patient impact.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable market plans.
  • Lead forecasting activities across revenue, operating expenses, patient dynamics, and supply planning.
  • Monitor business performance, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Implement corrective actions to ensure delivery of business objectives.
  • Oversee annual business planning processes and investment cases.
  • Allocate resources effectively to maximise growth opportunities and return on investment.
  • Analyse market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer insights.
  • Develop and refine strategies that strengthen market positioning and support sustainable growth.
  • Lead collaboration across commercial, medical, market access, finance, and operational teams.
  • Ensure alignment and effective execution across local and international stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and relevant healthcare stakeholders.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving patient pathways and access to care.
  • Act as a key contributor within the commercial leadership team.
  • Drive cross-functional synergies and promote appropriate practice sharing across business areas.
  • Champion data-driven decision making and digital innovation.
  • Drive adoption of multichannel and AI-enabled solutions to enhance customer engagement and business performance.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing talent.
  • Coach and mentor team members to maximise performance and potential.
  • Promote a culture grounded in ethics, compliance, and patient centrality.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Promote ethical decision-making and the highest standards of business conduct.



The Successful Applicant

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including significant exposure to both Sales and Marketing functions.
  • Proven experience managing people and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong leadership, budget management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional organisations and drive execution excellence.
  • Experience in coaching, feedback processes, and talent development.
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and results orientation.
  • Track record of delivering commercial objectives and managing P&L performance.
  • Strong interest in innovation, digital transformation, and AI-driven business applications.
  • Experience with integrated marketing approaches.
  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare environment.
  • Fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within rare diseases and/or highly specialised therapeutic areas.
  • Knowledge of rare diseases.
  • Experience operating in both launch and competitive market environments.
  • Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholder groups across local and international organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills across executive and operational levels.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
