Job Description

  • Define and execute the MGA channel strategy (target markets, business lines, and partnerships).
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure agreements with key MGAs across EMEA.
  • Oversee technical and financial performance of the portfolio (GWP, loss ratios, profitability).
  • Ensure adherence to underwriting, pricing, and governance standards.
  • Implement performance tracking frameworks (KPIs, dashboards, regular reviews).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Legal, Compliance).
  • Lead due diligence and onboarding of new MGA partners.
  • Design contractual frameworks and incentive schemes.
  • Manage operational, regulatory, and reputational risks within the channel.
  • Lead, develop, and scale the MGA team.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of MGAs Europe should have:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, or similar (MBA is a plus).
  • 10+ years' experience in insurance, with exposure to underwriting, distribution, or partnerships.
  • Strong experience with MGAs and/or broking (highly desirable).
  • Solid understanding of technical profitability and portfolio management.
  • Proven track record in negotiating complex international agreements.
  • Good knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., IDD, Solvency II).
  • International profile with cross-border experience.
  • Fluent English required.
