Job Description

  • Draft, negotiate, and review intellectual property transaction agreements, particularly in the life sciences sector.
  • Provide legal counsel on licensing, collaboration, and joint venture agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence on intellectual property matters in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Work closely with clients to identify and address intellectual property risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive legal support.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments in the life sciences and intellectual property fields.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Expertise in intellectual property transactions within the life sciences sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
