Job Description

1. Re‑position the China business as a growth and commerce partner

  • Lea*d the strategic transformation of the China operation from a media‑centric model to a fully integrated growth, commerce, and marketing solutions partner.
  • Drive innovation in digital, data, content, commerce and creative to reflect China's rapidly evolving consumer and platform landscape.
  • Cham*pion new business models, value‑creation frameworks, and integrated offerings aligned with global and regional strategies.



2. Deepen senior‑level client relationships

  • Build and sustain executive‑level engagement with CMOs, Chief Growth Officers, Heads of E‑Commerce, and key decision makers across FMCG, retail, luxury, automotive and other strategic sectors.
  • Strengthen existing global and regional client partnerships while unlocking new avenues for revenue and category expansion.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor capable of shaping clients' marketing, growth and transformation agendas.



3. Build and retain a future‑fit talent base

  • Attract, develop, and retain to*p talent across strategy, digital, performance marketing, creative, data, and commerce.
  • Create a collaborative, high‑accountability culture that encourages speed, experimentation, and client‑centric solutions.
  • Cham*pion diversity, inclusion, and capability development aligned with global People & Culture standards.



4. Orchestrate transformation inside a complex matrix

  • Navigate and unify business's global and regional operating model, ensuring China's integration into the broader network strategy.
  • Harmonize collaboration across multiple agency brands, practices, and specialist units.
  • Drive operational excellence, disciplined P&L management, and scalable processes that support long‑term growth.

The Successful Applicant

Professional Background

  • Proven lea*dership experience within 4A agencies, marketing strategy consultancies, or marketing/commerce‑focused international firms.
  • Experience transitioning to the client side, ideally in a Chief Marketing Officer or senior commercial/brand role with full P&L exposure.
  • Deep understanding of China's marketing ecosystem including platforms, retail landscape, digital commerce, consumer trends, and the agency competitive environment.
