Job Description

  • Formulate regional distribution strategy for actively managed and private market products across APAC, aligned to institutional client needs and regulatory environments.
  • Serve as Responsible Officer/MIC and Board member, ensuring governance, conduct, and compliance standards are met across jurisdictions.
  • Lead product & investment and portfolio manager teams across active fixed income, active equity, and passive equity mandates, overseeing roadmap, design, and performance accountability.
  • Drive institutional sales growth (AUM, net flows, revenue) through targeted go‑to‑market plans, pricing, and channel segmentation (sovereigns, pensions, insurers, endowments, OCIOs).
  • Own private markets distribution strategy (PE, private credit, real assets), designing structures, onboarding processes, and client education for complex vehicles.
  • Champion marketing and brand strategy (thought leadership, campaigns, content, events) to elevate market presence and support sales conversion.
  • Build and scale high-performing regional teams (sales, product, marketing), with clear KPIs, coaching, succession planning, and talent acquisition.
  • Enhance client solutions and product fit via research-led insights, performance narrative, custom mandates, and portfolio advisory for institutional RFPs.
  • Ensure risk management & compliance across distribution, product governance, disclosures, and cross-border marketing (e.g., SFC, MAS).
  • Lead strategic partnerships (global custodians, platforms, consultants, distributors) and manage key accounts to deepen penetration and retention.



The Successful Applicant

  • Solid years' experience in institutional distribution and product leadership within asset management; proven APAC remit with multi-market oversight.
  • Demonstrated success driving AUM growth in active fixed income, active equity, passive equity, and private market strategies.
  • Eligibility and track record as Responsible Officer/MIC and experience serving on or advising Boards/Committees.
  • Deep understanding of APAC regulatory frameworks (e.g., SFC, MAS, cross-border rules) and product governance.
  • Strong institutional client relationships (pensions, insurers, SWFs, endowments) with RFP and due‑diligence leadership.
  • Penetrate into Wealth segment including intermediaries and family offices
  • Advanced product knowledge across portfolio construction, benchmarks, risk, liquidity, vehicle structures (UCITS, SFC-authorized).
  • Proven team leadership and P&L ownership, with data-driven decision‑making and KPI management.
  • Exceptional strategic, communication, and storytelling skills-able to articulate performance drivers and investment theses.
  • CFA/MBA (preferred) and familiarity with ESG integration, stewardship, and reporting standards.
  • Multilingual (preferred) and willing to travel across APAC; high proficiency with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
