Job Description

  • Lead the enterprise-wide capability and skills strategy, ensuring the organisation has the workforce capabilities required to deliver its business ambitions.
  • Shape and embed a skills-based approach to talent, learning, career development and workforce planning.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify current and future capability needs, translating business priorities into targeted development solutions.
  • Drive the design of skills frameworks, career pathways and leadership development programmes that build organisational capability at scale.
  • Leverage workforce insights, skills intelligence and people analytics to inform strategic decision-making and investment priorities.
  • Lead and optimise the learning technology ecosystem, creating engaging and impactful employee development experiences.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, internal mobility and future-focused skill development.



The Successful Applicant



The ideal candidate will be a strategic and commercially minded capability leader with a passion for building future-ready organisations.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience leading enterprise-wide capability, skills, learning or workforce transformation agendas within a complex organisation.
  • Deep expertise in skills frameworks, capability building, leadership development and organisational effectiveness.
  • A strong understanding of skills-based organisations, strategic workforce planning and future workforce trends.
  • A track record of delivering measurable business impact through capability and skills initiatives.
  • Experience leveraging learning technologies, skills intelligence platforms and people analytics to drive decision-making.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the credibility to engage and challenge senior executives.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to inspire teams and build strong partnerships across the business.



Desirable:

  • Skills-based organisation transformation.
  • Skills taxonomy or skills intelligence implementation.
  • Career architecture and internal talent marketplace solutions.
  • AI-enabled learning, workforce readiness or digital capability programmes.
  • Experience within Financial Services, Insurance, Consulting or other large, regulated organisations.
