Job Description

The Head of Private Equity Secondaries will lead and expand the firm's global secondaries investment platform. Bringing over 20 years of experience in private equity secondaries, advisory, and exit planning, the candidate will oversee origination, structuring, execution, portfolio management, and investor engagement. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of successful exits, deep technical expertise, and a strong network of investors including financial institutions and family offices active in the secondaries market. Candidates from secondaries advisory firms are welcome.



  • Lead the strategic direction and growth of the firm's private equity secondaries platform, including investment strategy, market positioning, and long‑term product development.


  • Originate proprietary secondaries deal flow through established relationships with GPs, LPs, advisors, investment banks, wealth managers, and intermediaries.


  • Oversee the execution of complex secondaries transactions, including LP stake sales, GP‑led restructurings, continuation vehicles, strip sales, and structured liquidity solutions.


  • Drive exit planning and liquidity strategies, delivering strong exit outcomes supported by a robust historical track record in managing PE exits.


  • Lead transaction structuring and negotiations, ensuring appropriate pricing, governance rights, alignment of interests, and well‑defined exit pathways.


  • Manage portfolio construction and risk oversight, establishing diversification frameworks, underwriting standards, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.


  • Represent the secondaries business to institutional investors and family offices, leveraging a strong investor network to support fundraising, co‑investment, and syndication opportunities.


  • Lead and mentor a high‑performing investment team, driving excellence in diligence, modeling, investment analysis, and transaction execution.


  • Engage in thought leadership and market intelligence, analyzing global secondaries trends, pricing dynamics, and capital market conditions to inform strategic decisions.


  • Strengthen operational, legal, and governance frameworks, partnering with compliance, finance, and risk teams to ensure best‑in‑class operational infrastructure.



The Successful Applicant



  • 20+ years of private equity secondaries, advisory, portfolio solutions, or related alternative investment experience, with deep expertise across LP‑led and GP‑led transactions.


  • Proven track record of successful private equity exits, including structuring, negotiating, and executing liquidity strategies across diverse portfolios.


  • Experience from leading private equity secondaries investment firms or secondaries advisory firms, with strong market credibility and transaction leadership.


  • Extensive network of investors, including institutional investors, pension funds, insurers, multi‑family offices, and UHNW platforms with an active interest in private equity secondaries.


  • Strong leadership capabilities, with demonstrated experience in team management, investment committee participation, and senior‑level stakeholder engagement.
