About Our Client

Our client operates a leading Investment Management business focused on delivering tailored investment solutions to institutional clients across multiple asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, and Asset Allocation. The Senior Institutional Equity Portfolio Manager will act as a key contributor to the equity investment platform, managing mandates and driving innovation across global equity processes.

Job Description

  • Manage large-cap ESG equity funds and institutional mandates, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and performance targets.
  • Contribute actively to the development and enhancement of the global equity investment process.
  • Oversee sector analysis and thematic research to inform top-down portfolio positioning and investment decisions.
  • Participate in asset allocation decisions and contribute to bottom-up stock selection within the equity team.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with client goals, risk tolerance, and market conditions.
  • Continuously monitor portfolio performance and recommend adjustments to optimise returns.
  • Propose and implement process improvements, including automation and efficiency enhancements in portfolio management.
  • Engage with institutional clients directly or via Client Portfolio Managers to understand needs and provide investment insights.
  • Communicate investment strategies, performance updates, and market outlooks to clients and stakeholders.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and external events.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in equity portfolio management within an institutional investment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, equity strategies, and investment theory.
  • Proven track record of delivering consistent investment performance.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex market data and trends.
  • Solid understanding of risk management frameworks and portfolio construction techniques.
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools and investment management systems.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in portfolio management.
  • Strong leadership capabilities combined with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey investment strategies clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English. An additional Dutch is an advantage
