The role involves leading the adoption of advanced process technologies, setting best practices in plant and process design, and ensuring alignment with international engineering and safety standards.Key responsibilities include overseeing Basic Engineering Design (BED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) activities, managing multidisciplinary engineering teams across process, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines, and ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. The Chief Technology Head will also provide executive oversight across the full project lifecycle, including FEED, EPC/EPCM execution, commissioning, and start-up, supporting delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.The role requires hands-on leadership project management experience, with an ability to mentor senior engineers and project leaders, strengthen execution frameworks, and embed best practices in planning, risk management, and delivery. The Chief Technology Head will serve as a key technical advisor on complex execution challenges and play a central role in resolving high-impact engineering and project risks.Strong domain experience is essential, particularly in large-scale petrochemical and downstream facilities, including Naphtha Cracker to Polyolefins, PTA and PET, and Condensate Splitter and Aromatics projects. Experience in areas such as EDC/VCM/PVC, Acrylic Acid, or Oxo Alcohols is advantageous but not mandatory. The role also involves evaluating new technologies, licensors, and process improvements, ensuring long-term asset performance and competitiveness.In addition, the Chief Technology Head will support business development and investment decision-making through technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and project screening, working closely with commercial teams and senior leadership. Regular engagement with external stakeholders such as licensors, EPC contractors, joint venture partners, and clients forms a critical part of the role, alongside contributing to decisions on technology partnerships and major capital investments.The Successful ApplicantCandidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (with a Master's or PhD preferred) and bring significant years of experience in petrochemical, chemical, or EPC environments. A strong track record in delivering complex, large-scale projects, combined with the ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and operate effectively at board and shareholder level, is essential.
